Qualifications

As we expand into Brittany, we are seeking exceptional freelance guides to help us elevate the guest experience in this uniquely storied region—home to windswept coastlines, Celtic legends, medieval towns, and a fiercely proud local culture.

Role Overview

We are looking for articulate, passionate freelance cultural guides to lead private and small-group tours (typically 1 to 8 guests) throughout Brittany, including iconic locations such as Rennes, Saint-Malo, Dinan, Quimper, and the Pink Granite Coast.

Your role will be to reveal the region’s cultural and historical identity through vivid storytelling—from ancient megaliths and fortified towns to seafaring traditions and Breton folklore.

Key Responsibilities

Lead bespoke, high-quality tours tailored to guests’ interests and curiosities

Present Brittany’s cultural, historical, and natural richness through engaging storytelling

Ensure a seamless, high-touch experience from beginning to end

Represent Cognosimo with warmth, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity

Collaborate with our creative team to refine and co-create premium tour experiences

Deliver tours primarily in English (other languages are a plus)

Ideal Profile

Fluent in English (minimum B2 level); French and/or Breton is a plus

Deep knowledge of Brittany’s history, architecture, folklore, and maritime traditions

Experience in guiding, education, or premium hospitality

Strong storytelling and public speaking skills, adaptable to various audiences

Charismatic, reliable, and service-oriented

Freelance mindset with the ability to work independently

Existing freelance status or willingness to formalize it
