Job summary

LFA, a company specializing in cold forging with a close-knit and dynamic team, is looking to strengthen its tooling department in France. The role plans, tracks, and makes available tooling according to production requirements and provides support to setup technicians on tooling.

Responsibilities include manufacturing tooling parts from drawings, managing tooling inventory and WIP, defining production resource needs, and ensuring safety and environmental standards within the department.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of general mechanics; ability to read industrial drawings is essential
• Ability to read drawings; CNC and conventional turning experience is beneficial

• Manage work-in-progress tooling by recording orders, planning production, monitoring progress, and making it available in line with production constraints

Job Description

• provide support to setup technicians on tooling


• Salary: from €23,400 per year, depending on profile

Tasks and Responsibilities

Based on work orders/drawings, you must:

• Manufacture tooling parts in accordance with drawings issued by the design office


• Manage the tooling inventory


• Manage work-in-progress tooling by recording orders, planning production, monitoring progress, and making it available in line with production constraints


• Define production resource requirements


• Provide support to setters regarding tooling


• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards within the department

4-day work week: working hours from Monday to Thursday

Profile Required

• Requirements: Good knowledge of general mechanics; ability to read industrial drawings is essential


• Desired skills: CNC and conventional turning, ability to read drawings, knowledge of mechanics, ability to work independently as well as part of a team
