Job summary

Astroscale France seeks a Thermal Engineer to join the Systems Engineering Group in Toulouse. You will design, analyze, and justify thermal architectures for RPOD space systems, collaborating with engineering teams to optimize thermal performance throughout the project lifecycle.

You will develop thermal models, lead testing activities, and contribute to system design decisions while working in a hybrid setup based in Toulouse with some remote work.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of commercial experience as a thermal engineer for space systems.
• Experience with ESATAN-TMS and Systema Thermica.
• Knowledge of thermal testing and design justification.
• Strong teamwork and leadership in project settings.
• Professional English level: C1 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Capture thermal requirements and constraints.
• Support design and architectural development of Thermal Control System.
• Develop thermal and geometrical models (GMM/TMM).
• Manage thermal analysis packages during design justification.
• Execute test campaigns and analyze results.
• Produce reports and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders across lifecycle.
• Contribute thermal inputs to business development.
