Infinite Orbits PTE Ltd. in Toulouse seeks a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead the thermal design, analysis, and verification for spacecraft, payloads, electronics, and aerospace structures.

You will own subsystem architecture, modelling, and validation under varying operating conditions. The role requires 5–10 years in thermal engineering, proficiency with Thermal Desktop, ESATAN, Sinda/Fluint, and Ansys Icepak, plus knowledge of ECSS-E-30-01, NASA-STD-7009, and MIL-STD practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in thermal engineering, ideally in space/aerospace.
• Proficiency with thermal simulation software and high-reliability electronics thermal design; knowledge of ECSS-E-30-01, NASA-STD-7009, MIL-STD thermal practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead thermal design from concept to delivery for spacecraft, payloads, electronics, or mechanical systems.
• Develop thermal control using passive and active solutions.
• Perform thermal modeling and simulation with listed tools.
• Define thermal requirements based on mission needs and environments.
• Maintain thermal models at component and system levels; ensure interfaces between subsystems.
• Develop test plans including thermal balance, TVAC, bakeout, and cycling; verify models with data.
• Prepare technical documentation and support design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
