Universally Speaking (US) is a world-class partner to the games industry – ensuring the game is ready for release. Our customers trust US to verify that their Indie or AAA games are perfect before launch.

What will you do?

You will play and test games, identifying linguistic bugs and reporting them using our bug database. Clear communication in English is essential, as you will collaborate across global teams. The role requires full-time onsite work from Monday to Friday, starting at 9:00 am.

What would you do at work?

• Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being free of linguistic bugs.
• Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
• Follow Universally Speaking's established LQA processes and standards.
• Use bug databases to write detailed reports, demonstrating trustworthiness and attention to quality.
• Own the bug fixing process, ensuring issues are resolved correctly.
• Become an LQA expert across various projects and specializations.
• Create and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in gathering testing requirements with developers.
• Seek continuous improvement and efficiencies in your work.
• Collaborate with the QA team.

• Quality, speed, and accuracy of bug reports.

• Ongoing improvement of LQA workflows and techniques.

• Familiarity with LQA tools and test case management software.
• Knowledge of CAT tools like MemoQ.
• Understanding of the video game industry and trends.
• Higher degree in linguistics (desirable).

We offer a fixed-term contract, training from on-site experts, and a salary between €17,000 and €19,000 annually depending on experience. The work is onsite at our Madrid office, Alvento Business Park, Vía de los Poblados.
