Job summary

Halian Group is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to strengthen software quality across complex application environments in Strasbourg, France. The role focuses on designing scalable automation solutions, improving test coverage, and integrating automated testing into modern software delivery processes.

You will design and maintain automation frameworks for UI, backend, and data-driven apps, develop test suites, and drive higher reliability through reusable automation.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience coding in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Hands-on with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium or Tosca.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality controls.
• Experience testing complex, integrated enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of Agile software development and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance test automation frameworks for UI, backend and data-driven applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites across different application layers.
• Improve test coverage, reliability and maintainability with reusable automation solutions.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows.
• Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and automation approaches as relevant.
• Share automation best practices and provide guidance to QA/test engineers.
