Nexans recherche un Purchasing Manager pour rejoindre son équipe à Courbevoie. En tant que responsable des achats de projets, vous superviserez l'ensemble des activités d'achat depuis la préparation des RFQ jusqu'à l'attribution, dans les domaines des énergies renouvelables et des infrastructures maritimes. Vous aurez besoin d'une solide expérience en négociation et de compétences en gestion commerciale pour réussir dans ce rôle dynamique.

Qualifications

  • Au moins 7 ans d'expérience en achats projet dans les secteurs des renouvelables, énergie ou pétrole & gaz.
  • Fluent en anglais, d'autres langues comme le français ou l'allemand sont un plus.
  • Compétences démontrées en négociation et gestion commerciale.

Responsabilités

  • Gérer toutes les activités d'achats de projets au sein des appels d'offres et des projets spécifiques.
  • Évaluer, négocier et attribuer des contrats pour les projets marins et civils.
  • Développer et maintenir des plans d'achats et des calendriers de projets.

WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

The Tender & Project Purchasing team is a diverse and multicultural group with members in Norway, UK, France, and the USA. The team manages all purchasing activities throughout the lifecycle of tenders and projects, adhering to Nexans' purchasing procedures.

The France Team operates within the Tender & Project Purchasing team, supporting projects with final client delivery in France. The workplace is in Courbevoie, France, and you will report to the Purchasing Team Lead for the France Team.

Nexans has secured significant projects in France requiring manufacturing and installation of export cables, offshore marine, and onshore civils subcontract packages. The Tender and Project Purchasing Manager will oversee these packages from RFQ preparation to award. The role also involves procuring and administering other goods and services to meet project needs.

GETTING A FLYING START

To start strong as a Purchasing Manager, ideally possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or Procurement, along with 7 years of project purchasing experience in renewables, energy, or oil & gas sectors.

You should be ambitious, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, communicating effectively, and executing tasks efficiently.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will be responsible for all project purchasing activities within specific tenders or projects, supporting company objectives. This role requires commercial management and contractual awareness beyond traditional purchasing roles.

You will promote Quality and HSE actively.

YOUR STARTING POINT

  • Fluent in English; additional languages like Norwegian, French, German, Spanish, or Italian are advantageous.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or Procurement.
  • Extensive relevant experience may substitute formal education.
  • At least 7 years in Procurement, Category Management, or Commercial Management with successful negotiations or achievements.
  • Experience with contracts like NEC, FIDIC, LOGIC, and BIMCO.
  • Curious and willing to understand technical purchasing needs to discuss and challenge suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including LRNs, e-auctions, physical auctions.
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies and tactics.
  • Team player, organized, capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive, commercially minded, with good communication skills.
  • Able to develop internal and external networks.
  • High capacity and resilience during high-pressure periods.
  • Experience with SAP; knowledge of BI & Ariba is a plus.

PRE-SUBCONTRACT AWARD KEY DUTIES

  • Develop and maintain procurement plans and schedules.
  • Prepare RFQ packages focusing on Scope of Work.
  • Align RFQ documentation with main contract obligations.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and award packages for marine and civils.
  • Seek management approval for awards.
  • Raise and revise POs in SAP.

YOUR PEERS

Success depends on positive relationships. You will work closely with the Package Manager (technical and operational lead) and Contracts Managers (support on contractual matters), with a requisite level of contractual knowledge.
