Your role

  • System Application Support Specialist II / IT support specialist level II provides local & regional application production support in Symrise and often responding to technical problems that occur abruptly and require immediate solutions.
  • The position will align and support Regional, Segment, and Core IT teams.
  • Possessing specialist knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications and software
  • Providing technical support to teams within the organisation, and to external clients when required
  • Assisting with systems integrations
  • Managing ticketed query system and ensuring comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues
  • Managing coordination at a local and international level where required, act as the primary point of contact
  • Delivering regular and customised training to teams within the business
  • Preparing maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organisation’s systems
  • Developing reports for teams across the business
  • Assist with project management of various application driven projects, including upgrades, new implementations, user training
  • Provide coverage for change management of both internally developed and vendor provided systems, including ensuring that quality assurance and testing of systems and subsystems are accomplished prior to moving changes to production
  • Coordinate technology efforts with Regional, Segment, and Core IT teams
  • Providing guidance and support, and ensuring customer satisfaction for functional and operational stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance to standards, guidelines and processes
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders and gaining early awareness of their requirements
  • Ensuring that applications are maintained in a manner that supports delivery of services to multiple platforms, resilience, and performance
  • Ensuring continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services

About you

  • BTS / Bachelor or equivalent degree in Business or IT
  • Full on-site job (no remote) as we want to provide a local support for our users
  • Salary range: from 35 000 to 40 000€ - depending on profile
  • Proficient at analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data
  • Familiarity working with databases and applications for maintenance tasks, tuning
  • Intimate knowledge of an organisation’s computing systems
  • Ability to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Listening ability and patience
  • Strong customer service and relationship management experience
  • Critical thinking skills
  • French and English written and spoken
  • Work on site (no home office)
  • Shift planning: 8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm
