Job Description

Within the human-sized IHY production unit, an assembly and testing workshop for hydromechanical equipment, the candidate will join the Assembly & Testing Methods department. You will work on tooling activities in serial production and repair of highly technical products, both military and civilian.

With the increasing pace of M88 equipment, the demand for new tooling and maintenance of existing tooling is rising sharply. The sector is also modernizing, and new 4.0 solutions will need to be developed.

Your main missions will include:

1. Leading and providing technical support for the study and realization of tooling.
2. Managing or executing all tooling process steps from specification to end-of-life.
3. Leading a multidisciplinary team to specify functional and/or technical needs.
4. Participating in calls for tenders and solution selection for potential suppliers, conducting progress reviews, and critically assessing deliverables.
5. Analyzing and optimizing environmental impacts of industrial processes and workshops, such as carbon footprint, energy consumption, waste management.
6. Providing technical support during production issues.

Job Requirements

Significant experience in tooling methods within industry.

Comfortable both technically and relationally, with a strong field orientation. Technical interest, analytical skills, rigor, and organizational skills. Autonomous, able to prioritize actions. Adaptability and reactivity are assets.

Knowledge/skills include:

• Defining manufacturing and assembly tolerances.
• Drafting specifications with associated details.
• Reading plans and applying tolerancing (ISO, 3D, statistical).
• Using digital tools for industrialization (3Dex, CATIA, etc.).
• Mastering CAD tools and standard 3D model exchange formats.
• Understanding safety and ergonomics standards, chemical management, intervention planning, lifting means, equipment regulations.
• Optional: machining with conventional lathe or surface grinder, knowledge of additive manufacturing processes (3D printing plastics).
