We're actively recruiting a Senior HV / LV Training Consultant for a long-term position in the UK.

Since 2005, PPL Training delivers high quality, and reliable Safe Systems of Work and Technical Compliance training. PPL is a well respected training provider to a broad range of businesses, from SME's

through to the largest Facilities Management, and Health & Safety companies across the UK and overseas.

Due to the vast depth and range of experience of the training staff, PPL can undertake training courses for specific sectors including the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Healthcare Estates markets.

PPL are also currently working with over 100+ NHS Trusts across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Let's walk you through your day-to-day

Once you've completed your onboarding, you'll undertake various assignments :

  • Successfully deliver courses to current legislation, HSE guidance and agreed Safe Systems of Work methodology, to a variety of customers, including various bespoke courses
  • Deliver training events to agreed standards at PPL training centres or on customer premises, throughout UK and occasionally overseas
  • Carry out assessment of candidates against established criteria
  • Develop both open and bespoke events to meet specified needs
  • Continually maintain the professional company presence within PPL training facilities, and on-site as required, contributing to the development of the courses, which may include acquisitions of equipment
  • Participate in the planning programme for staff and resources, as required
  • Continuing personal development, to increase specialist knowledge, ensuring effective delivery of courses to the expected standard
  • Expand personal portfolio of HV / LV courses to enable delivery of said courses. Matrix to capture trainer development. Enable training team to match demands of clients
  • Comply with the accredited or assured standards of City & Guilds (to which PPL are affiliated) and other awarding bodies as appropriate
  • Engage with colleagues to ensure active stakeholder involvement in current and future developments

Quality Management

  • Ensure that delivery standards and service levels meet customer expectations
  • Process promptly all associated documentation concerned with the above activities
  • Ensure that the requirements of the awarding bodies are reflected in the design and delivery of training courses
  • Review all presentations and training documentation for quality and content, ensuring they remain up to date with current legislation / PPL requirements, reporting any required amendments
  • Participate in the standardisation of the HV / LV course presentations to facilitate the branding of the courses to the same visual ques
  • Recognition of business legislation shortfall and consequential development of courses to meet customer requirements

Key Certifications Required

An engineering apprenticeship or equivalent recognised training programme

A relevant electrical qualification at QCF level 3 or above

What Sets You Apart

City & Guilds 2382 and 2391 or 2394 / 2395 or equivalent

Engineering qualification at QCF level 4 or above (HNC or equivalent)

Recognised Internal Quality Assessor qualification (D32 / 33, A1 or equivalent)
