Renault Trucks International in Lyon is seeking a technical and driver trainer to develop and implement competence programs across Africa & LAPAC importers network, from scheduling to reporting.

You will design course outlines, create materials, deliver training including driver training, and evaluate transfer of learning, while coordinating with Quality & Warranty teams.

Fluency in French and English is essential; familiarity with Renault Trucks LMS and learning tools is valuable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in skills development, ideally as a trainer.
• Solid understanding of training design and development methods and related standards (e.g., QALIOPI).
• Strong knowledge of retail and commercial vehicle industry is beneficial.

• Coordinate total training calendar for Renault Trucks partners.
• Handle training preparation & logistics for all technical programs.

What You Will Do

Renault Trucks International is a Sales Area responsible for all international markets outside Europe.

We are present in more than 60 countries, divided into two market companies: Algeria and Turkey, and two hubs: Africa LAPAC and Greater Middle East (GME).

Within the Africa & LAPAC organization, we are currently looking for a technical and driver trainer who will contribute to our ambitions to become a true customer company.

You will report to the Competence Development Manager Africa & LAPAC, and be part of the Aftermarket Management Team, in close contact with Aftermarket of Sales Region International.

This is a permanent contract based in Lyon, Saint-Priest.

You will have the responsibility to manage the overall technical competence development program and implementation within Africa & LAPAC importers network, starting from training scheduling, preparation & logistics, training module development, training delivery, training evaluation and training reports to develop a strong and competent technical network.

Main Activities And Responsibilities

• Manage and organize competence development solutions (Self-study material, classroom courses and other training material) mostly for technical competencies,
• Manage Trainer network and course curriculum within defined subject area,
• Responsible for the total training calendar implementation for Renault Trucks partners,
• Manage training preparation & logistics of all technical training program implementations
• Design the course outline and recommend an appropriate training methodology (ILT, e-learning, video etc.) that will close specific competence gaps,
• Develop the course material in line with Renault Trucks standards and templates,
• Conduct training delivery, including driver’s training
• Develop & conduct training evaluation to measure the transfer of learning,
• Develop training reports after training implementation,
• Coordinate and assist with the Quality & Warranty department in related technical & warranty challenges and issues,
• Support and drive importers workshop staff participation in competence development competitions like RISE,
• Provide inputs on any recommended amendments/enhancements to any training materials, curriculum and/or interventions,
• Meet the specific development and delivery KPIs as agreed with your line manager,
• Actively establish and maintain good relationships with other functions/departments to ensure alignment to the business requirements and needs,
• Continuously maintain and broaden knowledge base of technological advancements, as well as general training best practices, to ensure that competence solutions are up to date and of quality.

We are looking for a profile with at least 5 years of experience in skills development, ideally gained in a trainer role. A good understanding of training design and development methods, as well as related standards such as QALIOPI, is essential.

The role also requires a solid understanding of retail and the commercial vehicle industry, along with good technical knowledge in this field.

You will need excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in French and English is essential, and Spanish is a plus.

We are looking for someone confident, reliable, and motivated, who is able to thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving international environment. Strong communication and presentation skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a genuine ability to work as part of a team are also expected.

Finally, the role requires strong organizational and planning skills, good command of office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Renault Trucks applications such as Navigator, Cornerstone LMS, augmented reality, virtual reality, Techtool/toolbox, etc.

Commercial Vehicle Driver’s license is required.
