For more than 25 years, our Center of Excellence based in Illkirch (Strasbourg area) has been a fundamental piece of the Ortho experience. We provide support to all of our customers in Europe, The Middle East and Africa. Your new role:

In order to support our purpose and be part of a new transformation, we are looking for a new Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team. More than ever, Technical Support represents an increasing part of the offer made to the customer. As a member of the Technical Support Team you will have an impact on our customers providing remote support in the technical & diagnostic area, for our full range of Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Laboratories medical laboratory products and automation. You will provide assistance and communicate with our customers via email and telephone.

What you'll be doing:

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and manage customer chemistry, equipment and software complaints and inquiries in accordance with internal procedures and customers' requirements.
  • Participation in on-calls.
  • Maintain technical self-competence, knowledge of company procedures, and customer-related skills. Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Contribute to process improvements.
  • Attend meetings with affiliates, on-site or via call.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Educated as medical laboratory technologist, biomedical or technical background or in life sciences, possibly with some experience in customer relationship management or in a medical laboratory.
  • High degree in one of the following majors - Chemistry, Biology, Science, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering.
  • Computer networking skills would be a plus.
  • Willing to become an expert in new technologies.
  • Passionate about communication with people and customer focus.
  • Fluent in German or Dutch are essential, English is desirable.
