The role involves providing crucial technical assistance and quality control for offshore marine operations. Applicants must possess extensive experience as Master or Chief Engineer and hold relevant certifications. This position is residential with potential travel to Nigeria and Angola.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience, half as Master or Chief Engineer on offshore support vessels.
• Fluent in English and capable of effective written reporting.
• Expertise in Marine assurance required.

Job title : Technical Support for Global Marine Assurance

Location : FRANCE / Paris, with possible visits to Nigeria, Angola, Congo on quarterly basis

Status : Residential

ACTIVITIES

Provide technical support and assistance in the area of Marine assurance for all types of vessels supporting offshore marine operations of the Company (e.g. logistics, drilling rigs, diving support vessels, floatels, construction vessels).

This will include but not be limited to :

Perform quality control of submitted OVID inspection reports commissioned by Company as per OCIMF quality standards,

Review the close out proposals made by vessel technical operator in the OVID inspection reports and prepare a recommendation for vetting decision issued by Company,

Provide ad-hoc marine advice and consultancy as and when required such as technical analysis for vessels selection.

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

Perform services within the offshore marine department, supporting global marine operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

It is essential for the incumbent to be fluent in English and able to report effectively in writing.

Hold or have held Merchant Marine Master or Chief Engineer certification (unlimited tonnage / power) / Expert.

Hold or have held OVID accreditation / Expert.

Minimum 10 years of experience of at least half as Master or Chief Engineer on a complex offshore support vessel (e.g., diving support or construction vessels) / Expert
