BioIVT seeks a highly motivated Cell & Gene Therapy Technical Sales Specialist to drive sales activities and manage client relationships across various European regions. This role will focus on establishing new opportunities and growing existing business while contributing to the overall success of the global team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in life sciences and proven field sales experience.

Position Summary

The Cell & Gene Therapy TSS will be a highly motivated individual with proven field sales or FAS experience within the Life Sciences industry. They are responsible for direct selling activities of BioIVT products and services within their region, delivering annual revenue targets, and focusing on establishing new and existing client relationships.

The TSS for CGT at BioIVT is critical to the success and a member of the global CGT TSS team. Reporting directly to the Director, CGT TSS, this role will actively manage funnel opportunities for near-term revenue gains and develop new opportunities to build a strong pipeline for future growth, while maintaining current business relationships and organic growth.

This position covers France, BeNeLux, Southern Europe, DACH, Nordics, and Eastern Europe. Remotely based in the greater France or Belgium region, this role will interact with customers through face-to-face meetings, teleconferences, and email communications.

Responsibilities
  1. Hunt for new opportunities within the assigned territory, leveraging the product portfolio to build a foundation for long-term growth.
  2. Drive existing funnel of opportunities to accelerate closure rates.
  3. Develop a territory plan and work independently on daily activities to meet plan goals.
  4. Utilize intelligence-based prospecting to identify new potential opportunities.
  5. Act on marketing-qualified leads, quickly converting them to new opportunities.
  6. Qualify prospects to justify the time and resource investment.
  7. Own the Salesforce.com entry process, including management of technical meetings to accurately forecast sales activities.
  8. Establish and build relationships with key decision-makers, identifying the technical buyers.
  9. Aid in the development of technical solution-matching for complex opportunities.
  10. Act as a trusted advisor for key contacts within an account and bring in technical experts as needed to advance the solution process.
  11. Consult with internal planning stakeholders on obtaining customer forecasts for new and existing business.
  12. Represent the CGT business unit at knowledge-based seminars and customer experience workshops.
  13. Maintain and enhance technical knowledge on assigned product lines, company literature, and competitive products.
  14. Keep abreast of competitive products to counter customer objections or preferences for competitor products.

Requirements
  • MS or PhD in a life science discipline required.
  • At least 5 years of field sales or FAS experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma companies.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO / CDMO sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed sales environment.
  • Network of key contacts relevant for progressing business in the Cell & Gene Therapy industry.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, savvy with all Microsoft products.
  • Ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external customers.

  • Sales savvy: effectively balances travel demands with daily online inquiries from customers and stakeholders.

Resident in either France, Germany, or Belgium preferred.
