Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years in the concrete industry, preferably with raw materials or additives suppliers.
  • Fluent in English; French or German is a must.
  • Industry knowledge in concrete applications and formulations.

As a Technical Sales Manager – Concrete- Europe, your role will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, driving product qualifications, and providing technical support to our concrete customers.

Your Impact in This Role

As a Technical Sales Manager – Concrete- Europe, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Technical Business Development

  • Act as the technical expert for concrete applications, proactively identifying growth opportunities for our existing minerals or new products
  • Develop strong relationships with key customers’ technical teams.


Technical & Application Support

  • Help customers overcome technical barriers to ensure successful product adoption.
  • Provide technical expertise to the Sales team, including product presentations and value-in-use demonstrations.
  • Monitor industry regulations and certification requirements, assessing their impact on Sibelco’s products.


Customer Complaint Management

  • Lead investigations into complex customer complaints, collaborating with T&I, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations teams.


Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and report on product quality trends at plant level.
  • Identify concerning trends and work with operations teams to resolve deviations.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to customer production processes.


What You Bring To The Table

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in the concrete industry, preferably with raw materials or additives suppliers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong expertise in concrete and applications, formulations, raw materials, processing, and testing techniques, as well as working with SCMs (Supplementary cementitious materials).
  • Technical Skills: Ability to assess and develop new product opportunities based on customer needs.
  • Behavioural Skills:
    • Proactive and independent working style.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Goal-oriented, decisive, and persistent.
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a team-oriented mindset.



  • Language Requirements:
    • Fluent in English.
    • French or German is a must.
    • Additional European languages are a plus.
    • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 70% across customer sites and Sibelco locations.
