Technical Project Manager - F/H

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager at our Massy site, to support the rapid growth.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of internal propulsion development projects for all generations of spaceware products. This role requires strong project management skills and technical expertise to effectively lead internal product development projects, ensuring that they meet organisational objectives and customer expectations. This role has operational management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate internal propulsion system development projects across all spaceware - mini product generations, ensuring alignment with strategic and technical goals.
  • Manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to deliver on time, within scope and budget, while meeting performance and quality standards.
  • Drive technical oversight, ensuring engineering solutions meet industry standards and customer requirements, and facilitate resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Monitor and control budgets and resources, optimizing allocation based on progress, priorities, and workload forecasts in coordination with department leaders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive risk management plans in collaboration with module owners to avoid delays or budget overruns.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder communication, providing regular reporting to management and maintaining transparency across internal teams, suppliers, and partners.
  • Develop and continuously improve project management processes and tools, supporting project management process initiatives and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Track key performance indicators (cost, timeline, quality, satisfaction) and adjust execution strategies accordingly to ensure project success.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for a candidate with significant experience (at least 5 years) in the space, aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing sectors, with strong understanding of propulsion systems and related subsystems. You should be autonomous, proactive, and capable of driving security initiatives across the organization.

Technical Stack:

  • Proven track record in successfully managing complex, cross-functional technical projects from initiation to delivery, ideally within highly regulated industries.
  • Hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programs, balancing technical constraints with business objectives.
  • Solid understanding of spacecraft systems architecture, integration, and validation processes.
  • Experience with project lifecycle management, including risk assessment, resource planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and methodologies such as Agile, V-cycle, or Stage-Gate for technical project execution.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and coordinating with external suppliers and development partners.
  • Background in working with or contributing to a Project Management Office (PMO) or similar structure is a strong asset.
