Job Description:

Responsibilities Alibaba Cloud Data Center team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, candidate to drive the implementation of data center projects. S/he should thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments to manage both internal and external stakeholders to tackle the challenges in designing and building Alibaba data center facilities. The program manager is responsible for project oversights and review in architectural, electrical, mechanical and IT equipment deployment by providing direction, coordination, control on the team to ensure consistency with global technical standards and business goals.Own the deployment of Alibaba overseas data center.• Manage multiple vendors to track progress, identify risks and solve problems throughout the project. Be responsible for the project delivery in targeted schedule, cost and quality.• Own initiatives to standardise global process of project management and improve the deployment methodologies to optimize the schedule.• Identify defects or waste in our deployment processes, and drive new processes and software automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring without posing risk to availability.5+ years experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.• 5+ years experience in Construction or Project Management.• 5+ years experience in Vendor Management.• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: large colocation deals, site selection for industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, and construction, negotiating or managing utility agreements, financial modelling.• Proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.• Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience presenting to senior executives.• English speaking and listening skills are required as role will need to collaborate with the team in HQ China, Chinese is a plus.
