Résumé du poste

Au sein de l'entité BigData & Security d'Eviden, une entreprise du groupe Atos, nous recherchons un Ingénieur Performance pour apporter son expertise sur la performance des serveurs. Vous aurez pour mission de superviser les outils de performance, d'optimiser les systèmes et de diriger une équipe dédiée. Ce poste nécessite une solide expérience en développement et une maitrise des langages C, C++, et Python, avec une bonne connaissance des systèmes Linux.

Qualifications

  • Expérience de 10 ans en développement logiciel/électronique liée à la performance des systèmes.
  • Maitrise des tests élémentaires et benchmarks (HPL, HPC-G, SAP est un plus).
  • Capacité à lire des fiches techniques de composants (CPU, GPU).

Responsabilités

  • Collaborer avec les chefs de projet et les équipes de développement.
  • Vérifier les performances au niveau du composant.
  • Optimiser les systèmes (BIOS/Hardware).

The BigData & Security (BDS) entity develops professional servers under the Bull brand for the cloud, big data, and scientific computing (HPC) markets. These servers must comply with various constraints and normative requirements.

Within the R&D Server Design department, we are recruiting a Performance Engineer to bring expertise in server performance.

Activities

Collaborating with Project Managers and development teams, your main missions include:

  • Monitoring latest tools and benchmarks;
  • Defining strategies and needs for each product in coordination with management;
  • Ensuring performance at all product stages (EVT/DVT/PVT);
  • Verifying performance at component level (CPU, GPU, Interconnect, Disk, Memory);
  • Optimizing systems (BIOS/Hardware);
  • Developing and improving tools to support performance goals;
  • Publishing official results with SPEC (currently SPEC CPU 2017);
  • Leading the Performance team.

Required profile

Applicants should have a baccalaureate +5 degree in electronic engineering or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience in software/electronic development related to system performance.

Skills include:

  • Mastery of C, C++, Python;
  • Good knowledge of Linux OS;
  • Ability to read component datasheets (CPU, GPU);
  • Knowledge of BIOS architecture (a plus);
  • Experience with elementary tests (DGEMM, MLC, Stream, etc.) and benchmarks (HPL, HPC-G, SAP) (a plus);
  • Rigorous with strong analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact across teams;
  • Proficiency in technical and normative English.
