Context

Within GBU S&EM, the Giant Offer and Origination Desk (GOOD) manages the pricing and position management of supply contracts concluded with large industrial customers in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

This represents around 300 contracts per year, covering commodities and certificates (GoOs, VERs, CRM, CEE, EU-ETS, Biomethane...), for a delivered volume of 70 TWh of natural gas and 30 TWh of power in the CWE region.

GOOD is structured around two teams:

  • Structuration, in charge of preparing supply offers (electricity & gas).
  • Hedging & Position Management, responsible for pricing methodologies, hedging strategies, risk monitoring, forecasting (LT, Week Ahead & Day Ahead), and profitability analysis (Daily & Monthly P&L reporting).

As Team Leader of Hedging & Position Management, you will supervise and guide this second team.

Your Missions

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and coach a team of 5 portfolio managers + 1.5 VIE.
  • Oversee the development and adaptation of pricing methodologies and hedging strategies in line with evolving market conditions.
  • Support the Structuration team during the offering process.

Operations & Risk Management

  • Supervise forecasting activities for France, Belgium, and the Netherlands (daily basis).
  • Oversee Daily P&L validation (Gas & Power) and monthly Best Estimate reports.
  • Identify embedded risks in offers and define secure hedging strategies.
  • Validate offers within your delegation framework.
  • Monitor alerts from the Trading Supervision platform.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to digitalization projects, from Front to Back Office & Finance operations.
  • Drive the automation and optimization of methodologies and tools (Wattson, OT, etc.).
  • Coordinate the development of new offers with digital teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with ENGIE's risk mandate and legal obligations (e.g., REMIT).
What we are looking for

Key competencies

  • Strong leadership, with a genuine care for people and ability to inspire teams.
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills, with resilience under pressure.
  • Experience in European power & gas markets (knowledge of large industrial customers is a plus).
  • Experience with market products (swaps, options, quantos...).
  • Strong command of data tools: Excel, VBA, Python, Power BI.
  • Knowledge of trading systems (OT, Wattson) is a plus.
  • Fluent French & English required.

Experience

  • A successful first experience in risk management of commodity supply or in sales to large accounts with a quantitative background.
