Tax Manager
Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating tax compliance commitments, including preparation, review, and projection.
Tax Compliance and Support to Legal Tax Department
- Supervise the preparation and submission of tax forms (Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (TVA), etc.) to meet legal and tax authority requirements, supporting organizational integrity.
- Monitor tax compliance duties to support efficiency in tax cash collections (e.g., withholdings, foreign Value Added Tax (TVA) recovery).
- Collaborate with the Legal Tax Department and engage with tax auditors during audits.
- Participate in data gathering and governance meetings for tax incentives (Research Tax Credit (RTC) and Intellectual Property Box (IP Box)), review annual computations, and prepare annual tax returns.
- Coordinate with Amadeus Corporate Transfer Pricing team regarding transfer pricing model assessment.
Tax Advisory, Accounting, and Reporting
- Provide initial guidance to other departments on new legislation impacts, and collaborate with the Legal Tax Department on complex issues.
- Identify potential tax impacts in collaboration with the Legal Tax Department and stay updated on changes in tax legislation to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities to support timely and accurate reporting to internal and external parties.
- Supervise tax entries (e.g., corporate income tax, Value Added Tax (TVA), other withholdings) and manage tax effects on French Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (French GAAP) adjustments, reconciling from International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to French GAAP.
- Coordinate the preparation of tax information for Corporate Financial Statements (Annual Accounts) and required reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Process Improvement and Special Projects
- Identify improvements in tax processes based on updated legislation to support accurate and reliable financial reporting, including collaboration with the Finance Service Center.
- Participate in special projects for financial tax accounting and reporting.
- Support the accounting teams in meetings with the Work Council, providing expertise in the tax area.
- Assist with E-Invoicing implementation for France, supporting the project team and leading tax implications.
- Maintain the relationship with the tax compliance advisor.
About the Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years of experience in tax accounting and compliance within multinational companies, public accounting firms, or similar environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge and expertise of French tax laws and regulations.
- Accounting expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and French Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (French GAAP).
- Knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA (enterprise resource planning software).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
