T&I Contracts Engineer (WTG – Offshore Wind) – Paris based – 12 months contract
Our client, a leader in the Offshore Wind sector, is seeking to hire a T&I Contracts Engineer for an initial 12-month contract.
This role is based in Paris with a requirement for office work 3 days per week.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pre- and post-contract activities for Transport and Installation packages, focusing on WTG T&I.
- Oversee procurement requirements for the WTG T&I package, including bid assessments, commercial evaluations, and supplier appraisals.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the package manager, legal, finance, planning, and insurance departments.
- Follow project procurement and contract management procedures and best practices.
- Manage contracts for the package, including payment obligations and monitoring supplier and employer contract commitments.
- Handle claims and variations with support from legal and project management teams.
- Coordinate with finance and insurance teams to ensure compliance and clear communication.
- Take accountability for contracts and commercial activities related to T&I activities.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to lead contract management activities.
- Develop contracts that support business needs, mitigate risks, and drive supplier performance through KPIs.
- Determine when contract terms have been fully achieved and assume responsibility accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to business processes, contract management procedures, and best practices.
- Identify future contractual interfaces based on strategic considerations and potential lease areas.
- Manage confidentiality agreements with contractors and service providers.
- Perform or verify due diligence activities on main suppliers, including market intelligence, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
Experience required:
- At least 5 years of experience in T&I contracting roles.
- Strong background in Contracts & Procurement, Business, Accounting, or related fields with contracts administration experience.
- Experience with procurement processes, including market analysis, international tenders, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency with procurement software such as Ariba, ERP (MBC), and Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Ability to work closely with diverse stakeholders, including international teams, vendors, subcontractors, and headquarters.
- Excellent organizational skills.
