Do you want to help shape inclusive and resilient societies in Northern Norway - through systemic service design? Deadline: 23.06.2025

Fabric+ is a fresh and rapidly growing department of four senior employees. We are a part of AT Arkitektur - Northern Norway's largest independent architectural firm with 35 employees in Tromsø, Oslo and Bodø. We are now looking for a systemic service designer who will become part of our small and ambitious team in Bodø or Tromsø. In Fabric+, we see the world from the North - and go to work to make the North more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable long-term. With us, you will join a diverse professional community that works at the intersection of architecture, service design and local economic development. We work with everything from age-friendly communities to the development of new industries, to systemic transformation of public services.

We partner and work alongside municipalities and county governments, private business, government organizations and voluntary organizations - always close to citizens and users. We are looking for you who:

  • Are a systems thinker with execution skills, rooted in service design, but who move seamlessly between disciplines.
  • Have experience from working with innovation, community development or complex systems
  • Can lead and facilitate participatory processes with different actors
  • Are comfortable mapping complexity, identifying patterns and driving change
  • Have a master's degree or equivalent practical experience in multi-stakeholder innovation, service design, UX, system-oriented design or similar
  • Can work independently yet also co-creatively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Can translate fluently between English and Norwegian
  • Want to live and work in Bodø/Tromsø, with great people, fresh air and weather, northern lights, midnight sun and bustling cultural life outside the office and studio doors.

As a systemic service designer with us, you will, among other things:

  • Lead and run system-oriented design processes and projects - often with many perspectives and actors involved
  • Map, analyze and visualize complex ecosystems and relationships
  • Develop, test and implement solutions to societal and organizational challenges
  • Contribute actively in project development, marketing and bid writing
  • Collaborate closely with architects, urban developers, economists and other professional communities within and outside AT Arkitektur
  • Represent Fabric+ in networks, projects and professional forums
  • Contribute to the further development of Fabric+'s methodology and professional profile

We can offer:

  • A close-knit and goal-oriented creative team with skilled and committed colleagues
  • The opportunity to influence the development of cities, regions and local communities in the high north - with design as a tool
  • Professional development and groundbreaking work
  • Office space in Molobyen in Bodø or in the middle of Tromsø city center - two exciting northern Norwegian cities that were, among other things, the Capital of Culture in 2024 (Bodø) and the European Youth Capital in 2026 (Tromsø).
  • Competitive salary, pension and insurance conditions
