This position supports innovative research in legal sciences, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches, including economics, history, political science, and sociology. It focuses on contemporary regulatory changes, especially the shift from state-centric regulation to diverse transnational and private standards, exploring their interactions and conflicts across legal orders. The researcher will analyze these dynamics from a diachronic perspective, focusing on specific stakeholders, sectors, or themes.
The role involves collaboration with key laboratories linked to universities such as Rennes, Paris Nanterre, École Normale Supérieure PSL, and Aix-Marseille University, offering a multidisciplinary environment that employs social science methods like network analysis and normative mapping. The candidate will contribute to understanding the complex, permeable legal systems emerging today, with an emphasis on legal pluralism and the legitimacy of norms.
Teaching responsibilities will be assigned based on the candidate's site, involving existing courses. The CNRS promotes open science, encouraging accessibility of research outputs and data, and emphasizes qualitative evaluation aligned with the DORA principles. Dissemination of research will include publications, patents, software, and outreach activities targeting diverse audiences, including public decision-makers and the general public.
