Purpose of the job

The Fluence Industrialization System Engineer leads the transition of the Fluence solution from a prototype (currently deployed on three lines worldwide) to a fully industrialized solution that can be easily used on any metro line. The engineer works with deployment teams on Torino, Paris Line 18, and Hamburg to identify issues and propose optimized solutions that align with our development roadmap, and implements or follows the implementation of those solutions to guarantee quality.

Your missions

• Know precisely the process for adapting a generic signaling solution to a specific metro line, both in a context where it is already industrialized and in the current Fluence context, with mandatory verification and validation activities.


• Have regular exchanges with deployment teams to understand bottlenecks and align with the perspective of the generic solution engineer.


• Create a vision of the optimized Fluence deployment process in the future, taking full advantage of the new principles of this new solution through collaborative work with development and deployment teams.


• Identify steps toward the final deployment process according to the current status of Fluence and project constraints.


• Improve Fluence deployment by realizing the proposed steps (e.g., describing a new way of working in documentation or creating/modifying a tool to automate tasks).


• Ensure the coherence of the development with the needs when it is realized by another team.


• Evaluate the real impact of improvements in the deployment team and track overall progress.

What is your profile

• Graduate of a master’s degree in Engineering or university equivalent, preferably with a specialization in Mathematics, Complex Systems, or Rail Transportation Systems; owning a PhD is a plus.


• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position (complex system architecture, system design, project engineering, validation, or operational safety) within a transport company; experience in rail signaling is appreciated.


• Ability to solve technical problems with rigor, critical thinking, analytical approach, and creativity, synthesizing different aspects of a technical subject and making reasoned decisions independently.


• Excellent interpersonal skills and a taste for collaborative work, technical management, presenting to clients, and working in multicultural environments.


• Fluency in English is essential.

You will be based in our premises in Saint‑Ouen.
