We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to develop next-generation products and technologies for the automotive industry. As a manager within the Electrification Center of Excellence (eCOE), reporting to the Global System Engineering Leader, your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading the local Systems engineering team (8-10 people) in developing next-generation powertrain products for automotive, industrial, and commercial vehicle sectors, including providing technical contributions.
2. Supporting the development and implementation of system engineering processes and risk analysis aligned with automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO21434, etc.).
3. Acting as a liaison between Systems and other cross-functional teams such as Product Line, Hardware, Mechanical, Software, and Manufacturing.
4. Conducting internal design reviews to ensure design maturity and compliance before project design reviews, ensuring products meet customer expectations.
5. Developing and communicating the goals, vision, and strategy for the Systems Engineering team.
6. Planning and managing resources, including tools, budget, and personnel, to achieve team objectives.
7. Monitoring performance, outcomes, and career development of team members.
8. Fostering a positive team culture.
9. Providing mentorship, coaching, and support to your team.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10+ years in automotive product development, including electrical and electronic hardware and software, with at least 5+ years in systems engineering.
• Experience with product launches.
• Proven leadership in managing engineering teams, either directly or in a matrix environment.
• Strong understanding of automotive powertrain architecture, electric motors, inverters, and powertrain control.
• Knowledge of automotive system requirements, system architecture design, risk analysis, V-cycle development, ASPICE, and functional safety.
• Experience with embedded controls, electric machines, hybrid and electric drivelines.
• Familiarity with in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Analytical skills related to powertrain physics and mathematics.
• Experience with requirements management tools like Jama, Polarion, or DOORS.
• Experience with system architecture/design tools such as Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody.
• Ability to lead technical teams and negotiate solutions across hardware, software, and systems engineering.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and ability to work in a global virtual team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
• Background in the automotive industry at a global Tier 1 or OEM.
• Design for Six Sigma certification (LV-123 / VDA-320).
• Knowledge of high voltage/48V electrical components validation (ISO 16750 / LV-124).
