System and Software Product Engineer (m/f/d)

As SYSPE, you’ll work on Parking Brakes, serve as the customer contact, participate in meetings to discuss technical requirements, and coordinate milestones. You’ll oversee the software, safety, and validation aspects.

Your Core Responsibilities Include

Project Coordination

• Analyze customer requirements during RFQ activities, create deviation matrices from platform requirements, estimate project workload, and present products to customers.
• Coordinate activities related to system, software, testing, safety, and actuator interface development, respecting standards and project milestones.
• Plan development activities and maintain the project schedule.
• Represent the technical interface for the customer.

Project Development Activities

• Manage OEM-specific requirements at the software level.
• Collaborate with the customer and Electronic Stability Control suppliers on feature implementation plans.
• Create and maintain test strategies and requirements-based test plans (bench and vehicle testing).
• Prepare and deliver official software following internal processes.
• Maintain project documentation related to APB functions, standards, and milestones.
• Define software parameters based on customer needs, vehicle data, tests, and simulations.
• Participate in vehicle validation tests, manage defect/change tickets, and verify coverage for each software delivery.

Continuous Improvement

• Propose ideas for product and process improvements.
• Establish best practices and refine processes and guidelines.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Embedded Software, or related fields.
• Over 5 years of experience with embedded software interfacing with customers in the automotive industry.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Effective communication with customers.
• Proactive attitude and sense of responsibility.
• Strong summarizing skills and curiosity.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of embedded software.
• Mechatronics expertise.
• Familiarity with Jira, Doors/DNG, SVN is advantageous.
• V-Cycle development experience.
• Fluent in English.
