About the role

You will be instrumental in driving our Sustainability reporting agenda, putting Essential Home at the forefront of sustainability in its sector and unlocking long term value growth.

Your responsibilities

OVERALL: The role has full responsibility for leading Reckitt’s non-financial & ESG reporting directly, with the internal Finance and legal teams and with external partners, and by networking & senior stakeholder management across Essential Home. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and continually improving Essential Home’s reporting and disclosure needs and ambitions while driving communications of our sustainability work to build awareness and engagement with all stakeholders.

  • Lead and develop Reckitt’s non-financial and ESG reporting, disclosures and communications, to position Essential Home as a sector leader in ESG, meeting current and emerging regulatory requirements, and stakeholder, especially investor, expectations, working closely with Communications, Finance, Legal and Investor Relations functions on annual and sustainability reporting,
  • Lead and coordinate sustainability and ESG systems and data development to meet reporting and disclosure needs and ambitions, working closely with IT leaders and software solutions providers to ensure future-resilient sustainability data management of internal performance management and planning, and external disclosure
  • Lead and develop Essential Home’s TNFD, CRSD, taxonomy, investor ratings and other non-financial ESG disclosure to build and drive value through stakeholder engagement, strengthening trust and confidence in Essential Home, its brands and non-financial performance
  • Lead and develop Essential home’s external and internal annual non-financial reporting through the annual report and associated sustainability/ESG disclosures, working closely with Financial, Investor Relations and other functions to deliver best in class transparency and reporting, drawing data and content from all functions to build the wider corporate sustainability/ESG narrative and associated trust, brand equity and stakeholder engagement for commercial impact.
  • Engage all key stakeholders (i.e. customers, consumers, investors, governments, employees, suppliers) through motivating corporate communications on sustainability, aligned with Communications teams to build corporate equity, strengthened confidence and trust in, and support for Essential Home, developing value-adding partnerships, employee engagement and strengthened awareness of Essential’s home purpose and non-financial performance
The experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work independently and possess the ability to collaborate, motivate and work effectively with variety of different internal and external employees and stakeholders, to inspire a positive culture of respect for strong human rights and environmental standards within our entire value chain.

  • Senior sustainability, ESG and non-financial reporting and communications leader with excellent influencing, communications and stakeholder engagement skills, credible at all levels of the business and with external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable FMCG (preferably within global brands) communications and reporting experience (7Y+), building brand equity, trust and engagement with stakeholders (preferably including the media) across an extended and trusted network, leveraged to create impact for the business
  • Strong external stakeholder network to draw on and engage with to strengthen reporting and partner with for impactful communications
  • Demonstrable leadership in:
    • ESG and non-financial reporting, specifically TCFD and emerging requirements
    • Investor ESG engagement, specifically with ratings agencies (ideally MSCI and Sustainalytics
    • Reporting and data systems development and management
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is critical
  • Strong ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in the business and get things done - Flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem-solving skills
