Qualifications

The Sustainability Data Manager will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and communicating sustainability-related data to drive continuous improvement in our overall sustainability performance. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of sustainability metrics, supporting the organization in achieving its sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive and agile sustainability data management system for non-financial, safety, and environmental data.
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish KPIs for “Life+Nature” initiatives to track progress and support improvements.
  3. Improve, implement, and document data collection processes; manage data contributor and validator communities; supervise tools to ensure data governance and accuracy.
  4. Analyze and interpret sustainability data to provide insights on trends and areas for improvement.
  5. Create reports and dashboards for various audiences and reporting frequencies, such as monthly EHS reports, quarterly carbon reduction trajectories, and annual sustainability reports.
  6. Assist in preparing sustainability reports and external communications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
  7. Stay updated on standards (CSRD, ISO, ISCC), market tools, and best practices in sustainability data management to recommend process improvements.
  8. Coordinate with IT and other departments to integrate non-financial data into company-wide systems.
  9. Train and support teams on data management tools and processes.
  10. Communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
  11. Manage multiple projects efficiently with strong organizational skills.
  12. Maintain a proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability.
  13. Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  14. Proficiency in software such as Excel, Qlik Sense, and Smartsheet.
  15. Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks like GRI, SASB, and Ecovadis.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in finance, sustainability, environmental science, data management, or related fields.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in sustainability data management, analysis, and reporting, focusing on non-financial, safety, and environmental performance.
