JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of a sustainability analyst is to develop the firm’s sustainability practices and assist portfolio companies in their sustainability journey. You will be part of the sustainability team. This high-exposure position will allow you to be responsible and involved in a wide variety of assignments:
Sustainability approach development & implementation
- Reporting: improvement of indicators, definition of the fund’s impact strategy, writing of a sustainability report.
- Develop sectorial guidelines identifying ESG / Sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities that align with funds ESG approach and sustainability objectives.
Portfolio Company Engagement
- Assist in the development of CSRD for a portfolio company.
- Promote ESG / Sustainability awareness, provide guidance, and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices.
- Monitor and assess the ESG performance of portfolio companies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.
ESG Reporting and Compliance
- Benchmark the fund and portfolio companies on their ESG performance.
- Regularly monitor and report on ESG metrics, analyse trends, and progress towards sustainability goals.
- Stay updated on ESG regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.
In the course of his/her work, the analyst will be in contact with the team (front, middle, and back office), the advisors mandated by RIVE, and the portfolio companies/partners.
The Sustainability Analyst will report directly to the Head of Sustainability.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Education / experience
- Master’s degree: leading engineering and/or business school.
Skills
- Ability to analyse and synthesise, ability to work in a team.
- Autonomy, curiosity, rigour, and organisation
- Fluent in English and French (written and oral fluency). Fluency in other languages is appreciated.
