Job Title: Surgical Technician

Job Overview:

In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized, age-specific care to patients.

Qualifications:

• Completion or graduation from an accredited technical program
• Surgical Technician certification required

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Successful completion of all orientation and departmental programs with documentation

Scheduling Requirements:

• 37.5-hour work week
• Day shift
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Maintain a safe environment that facilitates positive patient outcomes.
• Ensure patients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and perioperative setting.
• Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer individualized, age-specific care to patients.
