Description du poste

Job title: Senior SCM (Supply Chain Management) Engineer

Location: Suresnes, France

Client: EPC

Employment Type: Contract 12 months

About You

You have a degree in Engineering, Business, or similar, or bring equivalent experience in complex supply chain roles within the offshore Oil & Gas industry. You understand the full procurement cycle, can follow technical discussions, and are skilled in negotiation, expediting, and logistics. Proficiency with SAP Ariba and S4 Hana is an advantage. Strong communication, teamwork, and a cost-focused mindset are key to success in this role.

About the Role

As a Senior SCM (Supply Chain Management) Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and delivery of complex, engineered materials and services for major Oil & Gas projects. You will play a critical role throughout the full procurement cycle — from pre-award activities through to post-award delivery — ensuring all materials and services meet the technical, safety, budgetary, schedule, and quality requirements of the project.

Key to your success will be your ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines (Engineering, QA/QC, HSE) and maintain strong supplier relationships while proactively managing risks, resolving issues, and driving on-time project delivery.

You will report to the Project SCM Manager and be the key point of contact for suppliers on all commercial, contractual, progress, and coordination matters.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Award:

  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, and HSE to prepare pre-qualification and tender documents.
  • Issue RFQs via SAP Ariba and coordinate bid reviews and clarifications.
  • Analyse bids (commercial, contractual, schedule) and make recommendations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and finalise contracts and supplier commitments.

Award Management:

  • Prepare subcontract documents and manage approvals.
  • Create and process PR & PO in S4 Hana and ensure timely sign-offs.
  • Secure contract signatures through DocuSign or SAP Ariba.

Post-Award:

  • Monitor supplier performance, documentation, and progress against project requirements.
  • Identify and manage risks; develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and HSE assessments as needed.
  • Resolve queries and non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Liaise closely with internal teams (Package Managers, Technical Owners, Quality) to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage shipping documentation and logistics with the transit agent.
  • Verify supplier invoices, final accounts, and close-out documentation.
  • Capture and report Lessons Learned.
