Job summary

ATR invites motivated engineering students for a 6-month internship in Blagnac, near Toulouse. The project focuses on identifying methods to anticipate obsolescence and supply chain disruptions, and on developing a robust methodology to evaluate their criticality and prioritize treatment actions.

You will work within a cross-functional team, applying analytical skills, manufacturing knowledge, and regulatory understanding to improve supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in an Engineering School with a specialization in Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering, preferably in final year or MSc.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• French and/or Italian knowledge would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess current practices in obsolescence management and supply chain risk.
• Identify risk factors for obsolescence or disruption (suppliers, components, materials, regulatory constraints).
• Analyze data and indicators for early risk detection.
• Define a methodology to assess obsolescence criticality considering operational, financial, quality, and customer impacts.
• Develop a prioritization matrix to classify obsolescence cases by risk and urgency.
• Suggest mitigation actions (buffer stock, dual sourcing, redesign, supplier qualification).
• Formalize a standardized, repeatable process deployable across the organization.
