Job Description:
About the role
As a Supply Chain NPI (New Product Introduction) Associate Director, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the end-to-end supply chain process for the successful launch of new products. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration of new products into the supply chain. Your expertise in supply chain management and NPI processes will be instrumental in optimizing efficiency, mitigating risks, and achieving business objectives.
Since the new EMEA SC team has been recently established, the person in this role is expected to build the new NPI function. Another key responsibility will be cost improvement through design to cost (VE/VA).
We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all employees and continuously enhancing these programs.
Responsibilities
- NPI Leadership: Establish and lead the NPI team at the EMEA level, oversee the end-to-end NPI process, align supply chain strategies with product development timelines and business goals, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration among procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and engineering teams.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to support efficient NPI execution. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and risk mitigation, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project Management: Create project plans, timelines, and milestones for NPI projects. Monitor progress, address bottlenecks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Supplier Management: Collaborate with procurement to select and manage suppliers, evaluate capabilities, negotiate contracts, and establish performance metrics to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Inventory and Demand Planning: Work with demand planning teams to forecast demand and manage inventory during NPI. Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics to ensure adequate inventory and minimize excess.
- Risk Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and capacity constraints.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Define KPIs, generate reports, analyze data, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster relationships and communication with internal teams including product development, marketing, finance, and sales to ensure successful NPI execution.
- Drive and consolidate all Design to Cost (VE/VA) initiatives at the EMEA level.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a senior role with NPI experience.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and demand planning.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with supply chain management systems and software.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain and NPI processes.
As the Supply Chain NPI Associate Director, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation, optimize processes, and contribute to successful product launches. Your leadership will be key in shaping the company's supply chain strategy and maintaining a competitive market edge.
