AESC is the global leader in battery technology and a manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries with production plants in Japan, the UK, the United States, and China.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most high-profile manufacturing sites in France, as AESC is building a new battery manufacturing plant in Douai, Hauts-de-France, supporting its growth in Europe. This project offers a chance to participate in a large-scale industrial development, embracing new technologies to support the rapidly expanding electric vehicle market.

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring supplier compliance and performance regarding quality. The role involves overseeing the evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of suppliers to ensure the quality of components and materials used in production.

Responsibilities:
  1. Audit and evaluate suppliers according to the company’s quality standards.
  2. Manage the qualification and approval process for new suppliers.
  3. Ensure validation of components and raw materials (PPAP, FAI, APQP, etc.).
  4. Analyze and process supplier non-conformities (8D, QRQC, Ishikawa, 5 Why, etc.).
  5. Implement corrective and preventive action plans with suppliers.
  6. Manage supplier complaints and monitor their quality performance.
  7. Define and track supplier performance indicators (KPIs) such as PPM, conformity rate, rejection rate, etc.
  8. Lead supplier performance reviews and drive improvement plans.
  9. Collaborate with purchasing, production, and R&D teams to improve the supply chain.
