YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of over €234 million.

The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.

This new contract won by Eiffage Génie Civil strengthens the Group's position in Norway, where it is currently carrying out design-build work on lots 1, 2 and 3 of the E18 motorway (section between Langangen and Rugtvedt) on behalf of Nye Veier, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport.

YOUR MAIN TASKS

You will be responsible for leading all contract matters of subcontracts, including wording, negotiation, claim, variation orders and time extensions. You will also advise the design and construction teams and consolidate / substantiate all information for contractual issues.

Reporting to the Design and Construction Managers:

• Review and initiate contracts for subcontractors, assuring the compliance with site requirements and main contract, with EGC policies
• Lead claim issues with subcontractors, including Extension of Time, Request for Proposal and Variation Orders
• Review and initiate correspondence with subcontractors, within the timing and forms needed
• Ensure contractual support the EGC Technical and Production Teams
• Ensure watch of Norwegian Standards (NS 8401, 8402, 8415, etc.)
• Ensure that subcontracts are administrated properly and that any deliverable e.g. bonds, insurance, security, etc. are submitted in accordance with requirements
• Assist and support departments with contractual analysis
• Assist the Main Contract Manager to prepare claims or VOR
• Ensure a complete financial contractual follow-up (contract amount, VOR, VO, client claim associated, etc.)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Good written verbal and communication skills
• Norwegian is a plus
