A leading engineering firm in the Paris region is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Courseulles Project, focusing on offshore wind structures. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience, proficiency in SACS, and a strong understanding of structural standards. The position offers the chance to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment, with a duration of 6 months and potential for extension.
Hiring: Structural Engineer – Offshore Wind (Courseulles Project)
Location: Paris region, France (La Défense or Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design for offshore wind structures
Apply industry standards (DNV, API, Eurocode) across design activities
Use SACS (beam analysis) and ABAQUS (2D/3D FEA) for calculations
Conduct fatigue assessments and propose remedial solutions
Review technical drawings and collaborate with drafting teams
Report to the lead engineer and contribute autonomous design solutions
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in offshore structural engineering
Proficient in SACS (mandatory) and ABAQUS or equivalent FEA tools
Strong understanding of structural standards (e.g., DNV-RP-C203, API-RP-2A, Eurocode 3)
Experience with wind farm projects (fixed or floating) is highly valued
Comfortable with hand calculations and technical documentation
Fluent in English (spoken and written); French language is a plus
