United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) IMEO in Paris seeks a Programme Management Officer to lead strategic coordination, governance, and donor engagement. You will drive the annual workplan and manage cross-divisional inputs, ensuring data-driven decision support for senior leadership.

The role requires 5+ years in programme coordination, with methane-emissions expertise, and strong project governance skills. Fluency in English and French is expected, with UN experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• > Advanced degree in political science, public policy, or environmental policy is required; a Master’s is preferred.
• > Five+ years in programme/partnership coordination with governments and oil/gas sector on climate issues.
• > Experience with methane emissions, reporting, and mitigation is essential.
• > Experience in international partnerships and engaging senior government officials is required.
• > UN system experience and data analytics are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead strategic coordination for IMEO as a central hub for practices, projects, and workstreams.
• Drive development, consolidation, and tracking of the annual workplan with indicators.
• Prepare internal strategy documents and decision-support materials for senior leadership.
• Structure and facilitate internal governance processes and meetings.
• Coordinate cross-divisional inputs to align with Climate Change Division priorities.
• Provide analytical, coordination, and operational support to the Deputy Director.
• Lead donor coordination and partnership management, and prepare donor reports.
• Manage governance bodies' secretariat functions and board meeting support.
• Coordinate high-level government engagement and representation at international events.
• Collect and analyze data to provide insights for planning and reporting.
