As part of a transformative plan for our supply chain, we are looking for an experienced Store Planning Supply Chain, Senior Mana. This role will be central to our efforts in executing boutique projects, both new openings and renovations, for our Fashion and Watches & fine Jewelry divisions.

As the Senior Manager, Store Planning Supply Chain, you will spearhead the management and transformation of interior design flows critical to CHANEL’s global boutique operations. You will serve as the pivotal link among global and regional store planners, logistics and transportation providers, and the interior design teams, ensuring seamless coordination and implementation of supply chain and procurement activities related to store planning and development.

What impact you can create at CHANEL :

Governance and Coordination :

  • Develop and enforce a new governance structure, connecting key internal teams (Global and Regional Store Planning, Operations) and external partners (interior designers, logistics and transportation providers).
  • Lead regular business reviews and project management meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication across all stakeholders on supply chain topics for boutique construction and renovation projects.
  • Animate and improve relationships with our Interior design partner for logistics matters.
  • Lead and monitor relationship with our logistics and transportation suppliers in NYC and in Geneva.

Process Innovation and Management :

  • Design and implement new processes and working methodologies to optimize logistics and design flows, ensuring each project meets predefined goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate project planning across various categories, such as finishings, rugs and carpets, accessories, furniture, and art pieces, ensuring compliance with regional and international requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of detailed project sheets and retro planning documents to track critical milestones and deliverables.

Advanced Analytics and Traceability :

  • Lead the rollout and adoption of a new web based traceability tool to enhance visibility and control over logistics operations.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess effectiveness, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement in logistics operations.

Financial Oversight and Compliance :

  • Monitor and report on invoicing flows and cost control, setting up KPIs to track logistics costs against project proposals costs.
  • Ensure all financial transactions and contracts with suppliers and service providers are compliant with CHANEL’s standards and practices.

Risk Management and Optimization :

  • Manage crisis situations and implement alternative logistics solutions as needed to meet project timelines.
  • Collaborate with the CHANEL Insurance department to ensure all shipments are adequately insured under CHANEL’s Cargo Insurance floating policy.

Leadership and Team Development :

  • Mentor and lead a diverse and multi-cultural team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Foster an environment that supports change and innovation within the supply chain framework.

What you will bring to the team :

  • 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a focus on international, high-value goods transportation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of global logistics operations, including compliance (Customs), risk management, and contract negotiation as well as foundational knowledge of the design process.
  • Expert-level knowledge of procurement processes and activities.
  • Strategic vision to implement and maintain logistics software and advanced analytics tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to establish governance, build relationships, negotiate, and influence at various levels throughout the House and with external partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Position Logistics :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Position based in Paris, France
  • Some travel is required, at least a few times a year
