Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Celebrating unconventional aesthetics and embracing the philosophy that fashion is an art of expression rather than a cult of personality, Maison Margiela offers haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, contemporary line MM6, footwear, interior design, and accessories, including leather goods, fine jewelry, and fragrance.

In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.

Position: Store Manager

As a Store Manager, you will be the brand ambassador, ensuring the store meets and exceeds sales targets while providing an exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and excellent knowledge of luxury retail. Reporting directly to the Head of Retail, your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the store team to achieve sales goals and maintain high service standards.
  • Driving store sales performance by developing and implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Ensuring a superior customer experience through excellent service and a customer-centric approach, building long-term relationships with a high-end clientele.
  • Overseeing store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and compliance with Maison Margiela standards and procedures in collaboration with the Operations Director.
  • Training and developing staff to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and overall team performance.
  • Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and using data to inform business decisions and strategies.
  • Representing and embodying the values and culture of Maison Margiela both in-store and within the local community.
  • Resolving operational issues efficiently and providing timely solutions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in retail management, preferably in luxury fashion or luxury products.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and effectively manage a team.
  • Strong sales and customer service experience, with proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage and build relationships with clients and staff.
  • Ability to develop and execute plans to improve store performance and customer experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, refined, and embodying the image and values of Maison Margiela.
