Job summary

Tylko is opening a flagship store in Paris and seeking a Store Manager who will lead the opening, build the initial team and set the tone for daily operations. You will drive exceptional customer experiences blending design and service.

The role demands a hands-on leader with 4+ years in premium retail, fluent in French and English, and a keen sense of the French market. You will collaborate with Berlin and HQ teams to scale Tylko in France.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail management or equivalent leadership in premium brands.
• Hands-on leader who motivates by example and coaches the team to grow.
• Excellent communication in French and English, approachable and able to build trust with customers.
• Strong understanding of the French retail market and customer expectations.
• Results-driven mindset with KPIs and performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store opening and set up daily operations using Berlin flagship processes.
• Recruit, onboard and inspire a team of Design Advisors from day one.
• Adapt the retail model to the French market, including local regulations and ways of working.
• Own the store's performance: foot traffic, conversion, customer satisfaction and sales.
• Manage day-to-day operations: scheduling, stock and store budget.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience blending design advice and brand storytelling.
• Build Tylko's local presence in Paris through events, collaborations and partnerships.
• Ensure the store reflects brand standards in merchandising, service and atmosphere.
• Collaborate with e-commerce to connect online and in-store experiences for French customers.
• Share local market insights with HQ to inform growth in France.

Store Manager - Paris

About the Role

We’re opening our first physical store in France - in the heart of Paris.

French customers already know Tylko online. Now we’re giving them a place to see, touch and experience our furniture in person. Our retail model is already proven in Berlin - your job is to make it work in Paris.

As Store Manager, you’ll lead the opening, build the first team and be hands‑on in the day‑to‑day, setting the tone for everyone around you. The goal? A store that design lovers want to come back to - and the next step in Tylko’s growth in France.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership, make things happen, and see your impact. Specifically, you will:

• Lead the store opening and set up daily operations using the processes and tools from our Berlin flagship
• Recruit, onboard and inspire a team of Design Advisors and set the standards from day one
• Adapt our retail model to the French market - customer expectations, local regulations and ways of working
• Own the store’s performance: foot traffic, conversion, customer satisfaction and sales
• Manage day-to-day operations, including team scheduling, stock and store budget
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience that blends design advice, service excellence and brand storytelling
• Build Tylko’s local presence in Paris through events, collaborations and partnerships
• Make sure the store reflects Tylko’s brand standards in visual merchandising, service and atmosphere
• Work closely with our e-commerce team to connect the online and in‑store experience for French customers
• Share local market insights with HQ in Warsaw and help shape Tylko’s growth in France

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of experience in retail management, including leading a team, ideally in design, lifestyle or premium consumer brands
• A hands‑on leader who motivates by example and coaches the team to grow
• Excellent communication in French and English - approachable, confident and able to quickly build trust with customers
• Strong understanding of the French retail market and customer expectations
• Results‑driven mindset and confidence working with KPIs and performance data
• Experienced with retail tech (POS, CRM, scheduling tools) and curious about using AI to work smarter
• Able to work with established processes while spotting what needs to change locally
• A passion for design, interiors and creating inspiring customer experiences
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as required in retail

Nice to have

• Experience opening a new store or launching a brand in a new location
• Knowledge of French labour regulations in retail (scheduling, working hours, weekend work)
