UNIQLO in Paris is seeking a Store Design Project Manager to lead store design projects across Europe from our Paris office. You will report to the Head of Store Design and collaborate with store construction and CAPEX teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will manage all phases from feasibility to handover, develop layouts, coordinate local architects, and ensure design compliance with HQ requirements. The role involves travel across Europe.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years in a similar position with local design/project experience in apparel retail.
  • Fluent or business-level English; additional languages a plus.
  • Understanding of Uniqlo customer positioning and European retail market.

Responsabilités

  • Manage store design work through all phases from feasibility to handover to store management.
  • Develop store layouts and scope of works in development phase meeting UQ store requirements.
  • Coordinate with construction and CAPEX for budgeting and handover with landlord/ development teams.
  • Identify scope of works for local architects and obtain quotes.
  • Develop design set including layout, facade, and RCP to meet UQ design requirements.
  • Develop permit set to secure permits with local architects.
  • Create construction set and bidding documents for GC bidding.
  • Ensure design documents meet project schedule.
  • Collaborate with construction and procurement to identify owner-furnished items.
  • Supervise design and construction to meet code and UQ quality.
  • Perform final inspection with construction manager before handover to store operations.
  • Support store openings with operations team.
  • Lead post-project analyses and drive process improvements.
  • Provide weekly updates to the team manager.
  • Update UQ design guidelines and other documents for local operations.

We are currently recruiting for a **StoreDesignProject Manager** to sit within the European team, based in our **Paris office.** You will be reporting into the Head of StoreDesign, working cross functionally with storeconstruction,andstoredevelopment.As part of the Store Design team, you will drive store design projects for Uniqlo Europe (on time, at budget, according to process rules).

The role offers travel across Europe, which is dependent on the projects youare responsible formanaging at one time.

What you will be responsible for:
  • Managingstore design work through all phases, from giving inputs on the feasibility of projectstillthe handover to the store management team.

  • Developingstore layouts and scope ofworksindevelopmentphase meeting UQ store requirements.

  • Workingtogether withconstructionteam and CAPEX team for budgeting. Ensuringthe handover conditions fromlandlord working together with development team to ensure the scope of works.

  • Identifyingthe scope of works for local architects andgetquotes from candidate localarchitect.

  • Developingdesign set including layout, facadedesignand RCPetc..meetingUQ design requirements working together with internal teams to fulfill the demands ofoperationteam andfinalizingthe layout with agreement from management and HQ.

  • Developingpermitset to get all necessarypermitstimelymanner working with localarchitect.

  • Developingconstructionsetand bidding documents for GC bidding working together with localarchitectand construction team.

  • Makingsure to develop design documents in time to meetprojectschedule.

  • Workingtogether with construction team and procurement team toidentifythe quantity and quality of ownerfurnishedItems.

  • Supervisingand supportingof the construction for design/detail to meet code requirements and UQ quality control,during design phase and construction phase as well

  • Executingfinal inspection working together with construction manager before handover to store operation team to ensure code requirement, UQ quality requirement and maintenance requirementisprovided.

  • Supportingstore opening efforts in partnership withstoreoperations team.

  • Leadingpost-project analyses and discussions.Identifyopportunities and strive for continual process improvement.

  • Reportingweekly to team manager

  • Supportingthe UQ design guideline and some other documents update to improve local operation.

What we are looking for:
  • 5-8years in a similar position, local design/project experience, inapparelretail industry.

  • Fluent/business levelin English,additionallanguages being a plus

  • Understand the Uniqlo Customer and Positioning in the marketplace

  • Sensitivity to aesthetic, quality architecture

  • Knowledge of in store customer experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of complexity simultaneously.

  • Solid understanding of flagship and standard stores requirements and solid experience in roll out store implementation

  • Knowledge of store refurbishment constraintsandmethodology

  • Knowledge of the Europeanretailmarketplace
