Job Description and Requirements
As a Storage Technical Solutions Sales Specialist, you will promote Lenovo infrastructure solutions and products, including block/file/AF array storage and software-defined storage solutions. You will collaborate with CTOs, IT decision-makers, Lenovo pre-sales and sales teams, partners, and ISVs to deliver value to our customers.
Your responsibilities include developing Lenovo infrastructure solutions opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from understanding customer requirements to building solution architectures and closing deals by demonstrating customer value.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and identify Data Management projects (on-prem, hybrid cloud, public cloud) as a trusted advisor in your territory.
- Develop a pipeline of new Software-defined Data Center and Storage infrastructure business within your assigned territories.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships up to the Technical Director level and above.
- Keep customers and partners informed about new technologies, innovations, and advantages of Lenovo ISG Storage/Data Management solutions relevant to their industry.
- Identify customer projects, understand their technical requirements, and collaborate with the product and technical teams, sales, and partners to develop effective solutions.
- Lead or contribute technical input to Tenders, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers, partners, and team members, demonstrating expertise in storage product trends, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings across DAS, NAS, and SAN spaces.
Position Requirements:
- Experience supporting enterprise sales of converged solutions (storage, networking, virtualization) or storage solutions for large enterprise accounts.
- Thorough understanding of modern IT systems architecture, design, and implementation, including cloud infrastructures.
- Knowledge of trends and technologies in storage and software-defined storage solutions.
- Ability to create and present Lenovo sales and technical solutions to senior clients, articulating the value proposition effectively.
- Awareness of the local storage market, partner objectives, and industry environment.
- Ability to develop SAN/NAS/Object Storage architectures based on workload requirements.
- Fluent English communication skills for interactions with international teams and customers.
- Demonstrable experience in at least three of the following technologies: Enterprise Storage (e.g., Pure, Dell, NetApp), VMware Virtualization (ESXi, vCloud, vRealize, vSAN), Hybrid Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), All-Flash Storage, Software-defined and Object Storage, Data Protection Technologies.
