Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Linux experience in a high availability environment.
• Excellent knowledge of major storage vendor products and SAN systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our services are designed, deployed, and operated at scale, with high availability and performance in mind. You'll work closely with our development teams to build and maintain the necessary infrastructure and tooling that underpins our platform's reliability. Your expertise will help drive innovation and operational excellence throughout our software development lifecycle.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

1. Develop new shared services to improve Worldline’s velocity and innovation
2. Integrate community products in our ecosystem
3. Develop your own tooling, with either simple scripting or advanced programming language
4. Collaborate and share with the team
5. Support business lines to migrate their current solution in our brand new Infra with code, automation and CICD
6. Manage, innovate, and create Shared services and tooling that continuously improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Worldline
7. Work cross-functionally to build fast, reliable, and resilient production systems
8. Develop, configure and enhance our automation stack and our CI / CD pipelines.
9. Create Documentation that every collaborator can use, improve and share. Technical documentation and user documentation.
10. Daily operational tasks (change management, application monitoring, application deployment, ...)
11. Secure our services, obviously in the payment industry security is must and should be taken into account from the very beginning

What We Are Looking For

1. Academic or Bachelor level of education or equivalent by experience
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of Linux experience in a HA environment
3. Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels in the organization
4. Quick learner
5. Ability to make your way through a complex automation stack autonomously
6. Automation is your answer to (almost) everything
7. Believe in Infrastructure as Code
8. Target 0 support solution and self-healing systems
9. Security minded
10. Ability to find trade off in: stability vs. agility, operational work vs. software engineering, proactive vs. reactive work
11. Must have: Excellent knowledge of products from major storage vendors (HPE, HDS, NetApp, PureStorage, etc.) Technical knowledge of block and file storage systems and SAN / FC and SAN / IP systems is essential
12. Used to work with source version control like Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, GIT flows and CICD
13. Used to work with Puppet and Terraform
14. Comfortable with Scripting (bash / python / ruby / puppet / CICD)
15. Understanding of network protocol (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing, ...)
16. Experienced / Proficient in at least one programming language (Java / GoLang / Perl, etc.)
17. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, PagerDuty, New Relic,).
18. Experience with multi DC setup (in different countries)
19. Experience with hybrid infra (On prem + cloud)
20. Experience with security standards (PCI-DSS, ...)
21. Excellent communication skills in English
22. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
23. Strong communication and collaboration skills
24. Nice to have: Familiar with service discovery in a micro-frontend architecture
25. Prior experience as an SRE or in a similar operational role.
26. Certifications in cloud provider technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
27. Understanding of compliance and security best practices in a cloud environment.
