The Opportunity:

We are innovating in the payments industry, covering hardware, software, and services for merchants to grow their business. We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our services are designed, deployed, and operated at scale with high availability and performance. You will work closely with development teams to build and maintain infrastructure and tooling that underpin our platform's reliability, driving innovation and operational excellence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Develop new shared services to enhance Worldline’s velocity and innovation
2. Integrate community products into our ecosystem
3. Develop tooling using scripting or programming languages
4. Collaborate and share knowledge within the team
5. Support business lines in migrating solutions to our new infrastructure using code, automation, and CI/CD
6. Manage, innovate, and create shared services and tooling to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency
7. Build reliable, resilient production systems collaboratively
8. Develop, configure, and enhance automation stacks and CI/CD pipelines
9. Create and maintain technical and user documentation
10. Perform daily operational tasks such as change management, monitoring, and deployment
11. Ensure security of services, especially in the payment industry

What We Are Looking For:

1. Academic or Bachelor's level education or equivalent experience
2. 3-5 years of Linux experience in a high-availability environment
3. Self-starter and autonomous
4. Development and scripting skills
5. Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
6. Quick learner and capable of managing complex automation stacks independently
7. Passion for automation, open-source, and Infrastructure as Code
8. Focus on creating self-healing, support-free solutions
9. Security-minded with a strong understanding of security standards
10. Ability to balance stability and agility, operational work, and software engineering

Must Have:

• Extensive knowledge of storage products (HPE, HDS, NetApp, PureStorage, etc.)
• Experience with block/file storage, SAN/FC, SAN/IP
• Proficiency with source control (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket), CICD, Puppet, Terraform
• Scripting skills (bash, Python, Ruby, Puppet)
• Understanding of network protocols (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
• Experience with multi-data center setups and hybrid infrastructure (on-premise + cloud)
• Knowledge of security standards (PCI-DSS)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with service discovery in micro-frontend architectures
• Previous SRE or operational role experience
• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance best practices
