Qualifications

The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage systems that support mission-critical applications and infrastructure.
  • Apply experience managing storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and cloud-based storage solutions.
  • Utilize strong expertise in data storage technologies, backup and recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.
  • Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, and performance tuning to optimize efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery (DR), and data replication strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor storage infrastructure for performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and system failures.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and security teams to integrate storage solutions into enterprise architecture.
  • Support cloud-based storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage) and hybrid environments.
  • Implement security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, NIST).
  • Troubleshoot storage-related issues, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Automate storage management tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Maintain documentation of storage configurations, policies, and procedures.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6 to 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
