Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Officer

Position: Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Officer

Closing Date: 11 April 2025

This position will be responsible for stakeholder engagement, communication, use case development, and sustainability strategy. He or she will manage project communications, contribute to and implement the communication strategy, and support stakeholder engagement efforts. The role requires close collaboration with all team members to ensure effective information flow and visibility of the project.

Duties:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the project’s communication strategy.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute communication materials such as newsletters, press releases, reports, and social media content.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Contribute to and implement the stakeholder engagement strategy.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, donors, and the public.
  • Develop use cases or application examples of the soil data information and/or tools produced by the project.
  • Develop a stakeholder engagement and sustainability strategy.
  • Contribute to the establishment of the Liberian National Soil Information Centre (LiNSIC), which will host the Liberia Soil Information System.
  • Support the organization of stakeholder meetings, workshops, and events.

Content Creation & Digital Communication

  • Develop and manage content for the project’s social media platforms.
  • Assist in creating multimedia content, including videos and infographics, to enhance project visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of communication campaigns and suggest improvements.

Internal & External Communication Support

  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to ensure effective internal communication.
  • Prepare presentations, briefing notes, and communication reports.
  • Support media relations and respond to inquiries as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably in a project-based or NGO setting.
  • Basic graphic design and multimedia skills are an advantage.

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be experienced with social media management and content creation.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
