The Opportunity

Internship offer - Energy and Infrastructure Department, Herbert Smith Freehills (Paris Office)

The Energy & Infrastructure Department is looking for a full-time intern from july to december 2025.

The work of the Energy & Infrastructure team covers areas such as public law, corporate law, contract law, energy law, OHADA law and construction law.

The intern will be required to work on cases in sectors as diverse as infrastructure, energy, transport and mining, in various jurisdictions in Europe, Africa and Central Asia.

Depending on the intern's profile (a public law, private law or international law specialist) and aspirations, he or she may be required to work more closely on certain practices and / or sectors covered by the department.

The intern will be gradually integrated into the team's work and projects. The intern's responsibilities will therefore encompass a diverse range of tasks, ranging from preparing legal research to drafting memoranda and contractual documentation, as well as assisting with due diligence work.

Other highly valued qualities include motivation, rigour and team spirit.

An excellent level in English is required (written and oral). Speaking Russian, for instance, or any other language is a plus.
