STAGE - Finance data analyst

As a Finance Data Analyst intern at Saint-Gobain Surface Solutions, you will work closely with our Global Finance team, playing a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial data. This internship offers hands-on experience in data validation and quality assurance within a global organization, allowing you to play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dashboard Monitoring and User Support: Ensure monitoring of live dashboards to maintain system reliability and provide user support.
• Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing to validate financial data, ensuring alignment with quality standards, and communicate discrepancies to stakeholders for resolution.
• Business Impact Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, developers, and business analysts to identify pain points in financial processes and propose data-driven solutions that align with business objectives. Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and issues identified during testing.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Actively engage with finance and business leaders to present insights, share progress on data testing initiatives, and support the implementation of process enhancements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering (with an interest in Finance and Digital) or a related field.
• Strong orientation towards Quality Management, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts and data structures.
• Familiarity with data testing tools and methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
• Fluency in English required.
