Stage – Data Scientist (Orientation Data IT / Architecture)

Join our Research team as a Data Scientist intern focused on data architecture and infrastructure. Ideal for candidates with data science and engineering skills looking to apply them in a real-world quantitative finance environment.

You'll contribute to the enhancement of our data workflows, help structure historical time-series data, and support the development of quantitative investment strategies through improved data tools and infrastructure.

Key Missions

• Assist in the design and optimization of data pipelines for financial, market, and sustainability data.
• Participate in the structuring and validation of large datasets to support research and portfolio management.
• Help automate data quality checks, update routines, and analytics processes using Python and SQL.
• Contribute to the development of APIs and tools for data access, cleaning, and transformation.
• Collaborate with IT and Research teams to ensure secure, scalable, and version-controlled workflows.
• Support the setup of machine-readable databases and knowledge bases for quantitative modeling.

Skills We Value

Must-Have:

• Good knowledge of Python (e.g., pandas, numpy) and SQL.
• Understanding of data workflows and architecture (ETL, databases, pipelines).
• Ability to think programmatically and automate repetitive tasks.
• Interest in financial data and time-series processing.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with database systems (e.g., MariaDB, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with DevOps or DataOps concepts.
• Interest in financial markets.

Your Profile

• Master’s student (engineering school, university or equivalent), ideally with a specialization in data science, computer science, or Data & AI.
• Curious and autonomous, with a passion for building clean, efficient data tools.
• Eager to work across disciplines, from IT to quantitative research.
