Hostaway is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to architect and deliver a new Trust Accounting subsystem as part of a greenfield initiative. You will design the architecture, own critical backend services, and drive reliability, security, and auditable financial data for customers.

You will collaborate with product, design, finance, and legal teams while mentoring engineers and shaping the platform's direction from day one.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with implied seniority.
• Backend systems experience in production environments.
• Ability to design simple, evolvable architectures and trade-offs.

Responsabilités

• Lead greenfield development for the V1 Trust Accounting product.
• Build core backend services that are secure, scalable, and auditable.
• Establish quality gates, testing, and CI/CD integration across features.
• Champion best practices for design, observability, and security.
